Reboot

I built a browser game called Reboot. You lead a small group of survivors through six eras of rebuilding civilization, from scavenging supermarkets on day one to reinventing the printing press. 36 technologies, each presented as a narrative scenario with a decision to make.

The inspiration is Lewis Dartnell’s The Knowledge, a book that works through what you’d actually need to know to restart civilization from scratch. The game takes that premise and turns it into choices: your mechanic asks whether to prioritize gasoline or diesel, your farmer argues against stockpiling flour, someone offers superglue to close a wound. Every scenario is grounded in real knowledge (shelf lives, chemistry, agricultural history).
